Read more →When you talk about social responsibility, it is often in the form of CSR, which is short for corporate social responsibility. However, philanthropy is more about humanely causes and on a personal level. In most cases, philanthropy involves the organization or an entity donating a lot of money to make the lives of people better. Due to a variety of reasons, people in the world are suffering from various problems, such as famines, hunger, lack of clean water, poverty, and much more. Philanthropist efforts ensure these people get the help they need.
The Many Ways to Be Socially Responsible
There are many ways available to people and organizations to show that they care about the planet and everything that lives on this planet.
Through Efforts
People can be a part of socially responsible activities through effort. For example, you might volunteer to work with patients at a particular hospital and provide them with moral support when they are dealing with serious conditions. You might volunteer to work with an organization in the distribution efforts. You could work as a volunteer who works on the field to ensure that the food reaches the people who are hungry. All of these scenarios are examples of social responsibility being fulfilled through efforts.
Through Resources
This is a way to be socially responsible that’s mostly used by companies and organizations. In this method, the company or organization will dedicate their resources for helping people with some challenge they are facing. For example, a company might allow its computers to be used by students who don’t have access to computers for exam preparation. A company that owns a big piece of land can allow the use of that land for various charity and donation events without charging anything to the organizers.
Through Donation
This is the simplest and the most commonly used method of showing social responsibility. Companies would donate huge amounts of money to causes that are meant to make the planet a better place for humans, animals, and trees. The most important thing here is that the company may be indulged in the donation of money in a variety of causes. Furthermore, it might have a schedule of donations, which means it gives donations every year to these organizations that are busy in helping make the planet a better place for everyone.
At Avramgrant.org, we consider ourselves socially responsible not because we think about it, but because we are always busy in making the efforts to show our responsibility. Our philanthropist and socially responsible activities comprise many different types of efforts in a variety of causes.
Removing Hunger
We are serious about hunger because the number of people who don’t have food to eat every day in the world is alarmingly high. It is even more shocking that this problem persists even in the most developed nations, such as the US. In the US, there are hundreds of thousands of homeless people who sleep without their bellies full. The hunger problem is more serious in Africa than it is in any other part of the world. We make donations, send volunteers, and spread awareness about this problem.
Minimizing Pollution
This particular problem is more dangerous than people think. The pollution of air and water bodies has made many people prone to bodily conditions and diseases that are terminal in nature. The worst part is that it is not just humans who are facing this threat. Land and sea animals are also on the verge of becoming extinct due to the issue of pollution. We volunteer to remove pollution, donate to this cause, and endorse and support environmentally friendly methods of manufacturing and making products.
Improving Human Rights
This is a multi-faceted problem. In some countries, it’s their governments that are not giving people the rights they deserve. In other places, you have terrorist organizations with the control of the land. The worst part is that some people are being denied access to basic human rights based on their gender. We are always working with organizations that are busy in working for these causes. We provide the resources to them, work ourselves to be a part of the activities, and donate generously when we can.
The most important question that you have to ask yourself is whether you are playing your part.
Our efforts are futile and useless if people like you are not paying attention to them and becoming a part of these noble causes.
We invite and encourage you to come join your hands with us to volunteer for these causes, donate when we can, and make every effort to make this planet beautiful again.
Avram Grant Social Responsibility & Philanthropy Blog All Rights Reserved 2022 - Why Social Responsibility Matters? Everyone is a part of a particular society. You are still a part of a society if you live in a jungle. You have to know what the needs of that society are and how you can be the best part of it by being friendly, helpful, and supportive of the members of that society. Social responsibility matters because it holds everyone accountable of everyone and everything. You can’t limit your efforts to just those in your immediate circle, you have to be supportive of any efforts that are good for the environment and the planet as a whole.
